A rishta process families already trust, brought online
Nothing about Sakeenah tries to replace how proposals are traditionally made — it just removes the friction, at every step families already care about.
1. Create a profile
For yourself or on behalf of family. Add basic details first — religious background, family background and partner preferences can be filled in afterwards, at your own pace.
2. Verify your identity
Upload a government ID (Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or driving licence). Our team manually reviews every submission — usually within 24-48 hours.
3. Get discovered, respectfully
Your profile only becomes searchable once it's both verified and submitted for review. Your photo stays blurred to everyone until you choose to reveal it.
4. Send & receive interest
Browse by sect, maslak, city, education and more. Sending an interest costs nothing — the other side can accept, decline, or simply leave it pending.
5. Message, once accepted
Messaging only opens up after both sides accept. No inbox full of strangers, no pressure to reply to anyone you haven't chosen to.
6. Involve your guardian
When an interest is accepted, you can optionally notify your guardian directly from the platform — keeping the family in the loop the way it should be.
7. Take it forward, offline
Sakeenah's job ends where the real conversation begins — between families, at their own pace.
8. Stay in control
Report or block any profile at any time. Three or more reports automatically flags a profile for our team's priority review.
